Will your album past the test of time?

When selecting an album for your photos and precious memories, there are three important factors to consider.

One important factor is durability. Will your album stand the test of time? I look at my albums all of the time. It’s important that the binding and materials hold up. I also want to make sure that my album covers are stain resistant and remain beautiful for generations to come.

Check out my latest YouTube video to see how my albums have stood the test of time and you’ll see why I now only trust my photos to Creative Memories albums:

Creative Memories filled albums to the max and tested them in real-use situations for thousands of page turns. They conduct the following specific tests on their albums:

  • Crocking test to ensure negligible-to-no color transfer on the album material.
  • Slot strength on the basecard, so your straps don’t tear your album
  • Stain resistance. Spilling real-life substances (cola, coffee, peanut butter, etc.) on albums. (One wipe and it’s clean.)
  • The Page Turning machine cycles an album page 5000 times and then visual assessment is made on the page stitches, coverholder stitches and slots, integrity of the spine and that the strap slip is less than 1/8.

Because the photo and scrapbooking industries aren’t regulated, many companies make claims about their albums, papers, pens, adhesives and other supplies that can’t be substantiated.

Creative Memories does substantial testing. The products are manufactured to be photo safe and permanent so your photos and memorabilia do not degrade over time.

Finally, the Creative Memories’ album systems gives you ultimate flexibility. You can buy the album covers and pages separately. You can even mix and match the different pages giving you flexibility to include different size photos and memorabilia. Check out this video to learn more about the different page types:
